WINTER SOLSTICE FEB 8, 9, 10, 3pm at CANADIAN MUSEUM OF IMMIGRATION, Halifax

This 60-minute one act production is more of a message than a story with a cast of six led by three singing sirens, two nymph dancers, one jester narrator and an optional choir/group. Together they spread hope, peace and optimism while fusing spirituals, dances and secular songs by famous composers Ron Paley, Woody Woods, Jeri Brown who serves as playwright, producer, jester, artistic and choral director. The cast: Siren Thessa​​​​ Natasha Thomas Siren Mere ​​​​Maureen Batt Siren Water​​​​ Linda Carvery Nymph​​​​​ Brigitte Aucoin Nymph​​​​​ Audrey Barber Jester​​​​​ Jeri Brown & Denis Dineen The setting is an all-night coffee shop, all night seaside ritual or any all-night location in Anywhere City where the lost, the bums, the riff-raff, and the desperate of life have come together on the longest night of the year, the winter solstice, Dec. 21st.”


WINTER SOLSTICE: Souls of Sirens is a production by Jongleur Opera Company at Rowe Hall, Pier 21 in Halifax, Nova Scotia during February 8,9,10 of 2019 at 3pm. The three-day run is directed by Jeri Brown with filming direction from Silas Johnston; the set and lighting designs are by Jeri Brown along with shared stage management from Bernadette Reid and Nicole Quellette.
